Dining Room Decor. White or light colored walls will make the room look larger while if you have a particularly large room darker colors can make it appear more intimate. Try to cut back on very bright primary colors: it is fine to have one brightly colored wall if the others match with a more muted pastel shade but too much color is not usually recommended for a dining room.
One of the biggest issues in dining room furniture arrangements and especially in formal room arrangements is storage for various dining accessories. Those miscellaneous items like bread warmers condiment servers and napkin rings can be a chore to find a home for without making a room look cluttered or junky. When you are planning out your room arrangement plan to include another piece of furniture totally unassociated with eating and there are a couple of different approaches to this.
Dining room furniture can be very traditional in look high gloss tables with high back chairs or it can be very modern and quirky in style. Whatever your personality or individual taste dining furniture can fit in. Often the style of the furniture will be dictated by the size of your dining space. A small square room with a very large table and six chairs would look cramped and not very inviting. In a smaller room a round table would likely fit in better or you can get smaller tables which would fit in just as nicely.
